An extension activity for this project would be having the students take pictures of a certain area in school or at their house and they can talk about the principles of art but also we can get to know the student as well. This could be integrated into a reading lesson as well. They could write about a certain area and talk about the principles while thinking about a new way to look at the image.

Footprint introductions

For this activity we were asked to create a footprint that describes ourself. This is my footprint! I started by creating mountains and adding luggage next to it to represent my love for traveling. Then I added waves and my swim cap and goggles to represent my high school swim team. Then I added a to do list to represent my love for lists and being organized. I then added a picture of an apple to represent my love for teaching. Then I had a few stickers represent the different kinds of food I like and a sticker of Netflix to represent what I like to do in my free time. This activity is really a good way to introduce yourself to a new class.

As an extension activity I would use the footprints in a reading lesson. Students could write a story about their footprint or they could write a story about their neighbors footprint. Students could partner up and write about their partners foot.
